Dominican University of California

Founded in 1890 by the Dominican Sisters of San Rafael, Dominican University of California offers more than 60 programs of study. With nearly 2,000 graduate and undergraduate students and a student to faculty ratio of 11 to 1, Dominican is able to meld the personal attention of a smaller school with the academic resources of a larger university.

Dominican’s focus on interdisciplinary studies provides a challenging academic environment. In the sciences, the University is adept at engaging undergraduates in sophisticated research projects that enable them to present at national academic conferences and publish alongside their faculty mentors in peer-reviewed journals. Those students zeroing in on the humanities have the unique opportunity to combine dance and musical performance with the study of philosophy, literature, world cultures and religion.

Dominican also offers strong undergraduate and graduate professional programs in business, education and nursing. Graduate disciplines also include counseling psychology and occupational therapy.
